The Suitcase Entrepreneur by Natalie Sisson
This was the first book that started to inspire me about what is possible when working online.
As I started to get better at building websites, understanding sales funnels and digital marketing, I soon realised that I could work from anywhere – I just needed a laptop and a decent wi-fi connection and I could earn an income.
The Suitcase Entrepreneur helped me to understand more about the digital nomad lifestyle.
Before reading it I had lots of questions, such as what happens to your mail? What do you do about taxes? Are you a citizen of a country? Yes, you might be from the US, but if you haven’t been back there for 9 years, what happens to your tax? Do you need to pay it, and if so, who do you pay it to? All of these questioned are answered.
This book explains how Natalie Sission lived, as the title would suggest, from a suitcase, and how she travelled the world, doing business, making money and having a freedom lifestyle.
Some of the chapters include:
- How to build your online business that you can take anywhere
- How to become a citizen of the world and set up an international business
- How to become a pro at being homeless
- Deciding on where to travel
- The art of minimise
- Travelling hack and tips
- How to build a world-class team that you have never met
Although the book is a bit chunky, I think it’s worthy of the chunk. None of it is waffle, it’s all valid points with so many hints, tips, hacks and resources.
If you are wanting to work from your laptop and live life on your terms, then this book will tell you everything you need to know and help to achieve that lifestyle.
