Podcast Launch by John Lee Dumas
For those that don’t know John Lee Dumas, he is an entrepreneur himself and runs a very successful podcast called Entrepreneur on Fire (EOFire).
If you have never heard of this podcast, pull out your phone, download now and get listening.
Dumas interviews successful entrepreneurs from all across the world and they share hints, tips, bits of their life stories, advice that they would give to new entrepreneurs etc. These episodes are gold dust and they are free and available from your phone.
On a completely other note, when you’re driving, instead of listening to the radio or general music (which is going to give you zero value) I recommend that you subscribe to these podcasts and listening to these on your journey instead.
The time that you spend in your car is ultimately wasted. But by listening to EOFire, or any other similar podcast, you can then utilise that time to learn from some of the best entrepreneurs from all over the world.
Now, back to the book.
The reason why you should listen to John Lee Dumas when it comes to launching a podcast is because his podcast, Entrepreneur on Fire, has over 1 million unique listeners every single month and generates $250,000+ per month.
I think it’s fair to say that it is quite a successful podcast and he is definitely a person you should be taking advice from.
Podcast Launch is a step-by-step guide showing you how to record and edit your audio as well as how to publish it on iTunes correctly, along with helpful marketing tips to make sure your podcast gets noticed.
The book details the costs involved when setting up a podcast as well as how to monetize your efforts later down the line.
It’s not a massive book and it’s not filled with waffle and regurgitated crap. It is straight to the point steps and tips that you need to launch your podcast.
When I used the book to launch a podcast for my previous business, I managed to get it in the iTunes chart for Sport & Hobbies. Sadly, the podcast is no longer available.
You are much more likely to launch a successful podcast with this book than without it.
It will also save you heaps of time as instead of trying to work out how to upload your podcast to iTunes, you can follow along with the book, step-by-step.
